Abstract: Objective To investigate the infection rate and type of human papillomavirus(HPV) in high-grade cervical squamous in-traepithelial lesions. Methods Types of HPV genes were detected using a gene-chip technique in 30 patients with CINⅡ-Ⅲ and 160 patients with cervical cancer. The relationship between HPV infection and cervical lesions was analyzed. Results Rates of HPV infec-tion in both groups were 90%,with 70.31%(19/27) and 81.94%(118/144) being single-type infections. HPV-58 and HPV-52 were the most frequent types among patients with CINⅡ-Ⅲ,while HPV-16 and HPV-18 were the most frequent types among patients with cervical cancer. HPV-16 was detected most frequently in both squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. Conclusion HPV-16 and HPV-18 are the major HPV types associated with cervical cancer, while HPV-58 and HPV-52 are the major types associated with high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions.
